Events and Appearances
Over 80,000 people each year gather alongside the downtown streets to watch the Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade with giant inflatable balloons, festive holiday floats, spectacular marching bands, Santa and more!
The parade starts at the State Capitol, 11th and Congress, and moves south all the way to Cesar Chavez ending just north of the bridge. At a designated time during the parade everyone stops and Santa’s Helpers, who line the parade route, help spectators put their toys in the donation vehicles. All the toys are distributed by the Operation Blue Santa Program and given to another child in need just in time for the holidays.
