When BOB first told people he wanted to start his own radio station they told him to go fly a kite. Luckily for us he’s waited a few years to take their advice.

THE 85th ANNUAL ZILKER KITE FESTIVAL!

Kick off your springtime and feel some good ol’ Texas pride at the longest continuously running kite festival in the United States. This event is tons of fun and has a little something for everyone. You can bring your own kite out, or just come watch and enjoy the spectacle of thousands of kites filling the Austin skies. And, if like BOB, you consider your kite flying skills particularly special, then enter into one of several contests including Highest Kite, Largest Kite, even Most Unusual Kite and you could walk away with a trophy proving to the world your kite flying prowess. And if you don’t have a kite, don’t worry. You can make one onsite! They’ll even have a kite doctor on hand in case your high-flying friend gets a boo-boo.

There’s no admission and everyone is welcome - even your pets! So make plans to join BOB Sunday, March 3rd at Zilker Park!
