88% of Us Don't Get Enough Sleep Due to Binge-Watching

Does your night routine consist of binge-watching your favorite TV show on Nextflix?

If so, you're not alone. According to a new survey from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, 88% of people don't get enough sleep because they're staying up watching TV. But, is that really surprsing to anyone? Probably not. When looking at age-range, 95% of them are between 18 and 45-years-old. 

Sleep is one of our highest priorities, but when you look at these numbers it doesn't seem like it. 

Here's what keeps up late at night:

1. Streaming TV shows or movies.

2. Reading. Many of us like to pick up a book, but don't know when to put it down. 71% of women and 61% of men have lost sleep because of it.

3. Ah, sports. Gotta love 'em. About 60% of us prefer sports over sleep, 75% of those being men and 45% being women.

4. Video games also keep people up at night, especially those who are under 35-years-old. 59% of men and 42% of women do it.\
