National Beer Day: Free Beer-Infused Chocolate Tasting

5th Annual Austin Rubber Duck Derby

Start your engines duckies! The 5th Annual Austin Duck Derby will be held this weekend, benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin, and will feature food, music and tons of family-friendly activities! $5 ducks are still available for purchase, register yours now for a chance to win fantastic prizes! Even if you don’t plan to race yourself, come support the Boys & Girls Club and see the spectacle of thousands of eco-friendly rubber ducks racing down the river! More information here.

The Austin Pet Expo is a “woofing, chirping and meowing good time for the whole family!” Bring your furry friends for some delicious treats and "spa treatments" from local groomers. Other activities include an agility demonstration, pet talent and costume shows, and an exciting pet/owner look-alike contest, plus adorable and adoptable animals showcased by area non-profit rescue groups! Landmarks Tour feat. Art from the Met

10 AM | Bass Concert Hall     

 

NYC is coming to Austin this weekend at Bass Concert Hall with Landmarks’ tour of art on loan from the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The collection, which features “striking examples of postwar and contemporary sculpture from influential artists,” is completely free, open to all ages, and sure to dazzle. More info here.
