Last Tuesday night, Pink fan Denise Jones really got the party started when she gave birth to a newborn baby girl at the concert at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium.
Jones reportedly went into labor right at the start of the show. Luckily, medics John Matthews and Dani Berg were on hand and able to help deliver the baby safely and without any complications. “When we reached her, it was quite clear the patient was heavily pregnant and showing signs of being in labor,” Matthews told the Liverpool Echo.
Matthews also explained that there was not going to be enough time to get Jones into a hospital, so they had to perform the delivery in a make-shift delivery room at the stadium. As unbelievable as this story already is, Jones also gave birth all naturally, without any pain relief as there were no supplies on hand.

Luckily the birth went well, and both the mom and 6 pound, 4.5 ounce newborn are reportedly in good condition. “I’m still massively in shock, just a bit gutted I missed the concert,” Jones joked. After the whole ordeal, the mother decided that a name change was in order, as the newborn’s name was originally supposed to be Dolly Louise, Jones decided to change it to Dolly Pink.
Even the singer herself gave the name change her blessing, with a post on Instagram reading “Dolly Pink wanted to get the party started ❤️ ,”.
