You know full well Bob is all about Christmas…gifts.
I mean, the guy has a Christmas channel and it never stops playing music. It’s like the neighbor that never takes down their lights.
Bob’s really in to that too, actually. He too never takes down his lights.
In full Christmas spirit all the time, Bob heard today that Dolly Parton debuted a Christmas Musical and he nearly shed a tear from excitement.
“Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol,” based on Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol,” premiered Saturday and Sunday, November 17th & 18th at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The premise for the musical came from a Christmas show that was presented at Dollywood. From that small idea, came the major idea to make it into a musical. Director Paul T. Couch asked Dolly to write some more songs for the production, and the rest is history as they say.
Dolly aspires to have this be a traveling Christmas Musical one day, and for now, she says “We’re just here to see how people take it. If they like it, we’ll do a whole big number…”
Bob can’t wait for that big number and has a gut feeling about it being a traveling show. That, or his breakfast taco is talking back.
The Holiday Season is among us!
