As you all may know, the queen herself is starring in The Lion King remake, which is hitting theaters next Friday, July 18th. But the big screen isn’t the only place you’ll hear Beyonce’s flawless voice.
The artist and actress just released a new album in association to the upcoming film. The artist worked with multiple artists from across the world that she chose herself to be featured in The Lion King: The Gift.
You can expect to hear new renditions of the classic songs from the original film, including “Hakuna Matata” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” which features Donald Glover who plays Simba in the remake.
Beyonce isn’t one to disappoint her Beyhive, ever. She stated she “wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film.” With the album officially out, you can check out the tunes yourself below.
“It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop and Afro Beat,” said Beyonce. “It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me.”
