Get ready, a Madonna biopic is in the making and the singer herself is highly involved in the process, ensuring her story is told her way. “The reason I’m doing it is because a bunch of people have tried to write movies about me, but they’re always men,” said the Queen of Pop last October on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Madonna is determined to find the perfect actress to play her in the upcoming biopic. In doing so, actresses that think they have what it takes are going through some intense training.
Including “grueling” addition processes with casting director Carmen Cuba and 11 hours a day of choreography training with Madonna and her choreographer. For the call back process, the actresses must do script readings with the “Like a Prayer” singer. Talk about INTIMIDATING!

You may be asking who is attempting to book this role, and willing to go through this difficult and lengthy process. According to The Hollywood Reporter, some top contenders are Juilia Garner, Florence Pugh, Alexa Demi, Odessa Young, Bebe Rexha, Sky Ferreira, and Emma Laird.
Sources have said that the project would include Madonna’s 1990 Blonde Ambition tour, but the script is still being written so cuts can be made. Already in active production, this project is still awaiting the green light from the studio. So, no updates on when or how this movie will be released to the public, but we do know that whoever may get the honor of playing the musical legend worked their butt off to get the part.
The “Material Girl” singer took it to Instagram live back in 2020, describing the movie as her “struggles as an artist… Trying to survive in a man’s world as a woman. And really just the journey, which has been happy, sad, mad, crazy, good, bad and ugly.”
