Portland, Oregon seems like any other place to inhabit, right?
Welp, apparently not so normal seeing as how they have chickens crossing their downtown streets illegally!
Bob is no stranger to odd sightings; he does live in Austin, afterall. However, a chicken crossing the road on 6th illegally; he’s yet to see that.
A kind and dutiful officer saw the menacing, ‘free-roaming’ clucker and knew he had to spring into action immediately. Being a city boy though, officer Daniel Trummer had a bit of a scuffle with the bird before eventually rounding her up and surrendering her to the local animal shelter.
We know you’re wondering how Bob knew the gender of the bird. He just so happens to have a resident Bobette that is very knowledgeable about chickens and discerned that it is female based on the feet in the pictures of officer Trummer and the ‘jaywalking’ fowl.
It’s good to note that the chicken posted bail and her family came and picked her up from the shelter.
Bob also wanted to note that he is now in the mood for some chicken…
