This is record-breaking for the streaming service. The outcome for Stranger Things season 3 has surpassed all of the other films and shows Netflix has ever launched, including the past two seasons of the series. According to Nielson, 15.8 million people watched the premiere episode of season 2 during the opening weekend.
Looking at these results, it’s no surprise that fans were eagerly anticipating the third season. For now, it will remain a mystery as to which show or series will exceed the viewership of the show.
